Meet Dr. Makeda Ansah

I teach from scars, not theory.

Minister, author, former nurse, educator, life coach, and Soul Revivalist helping weary women and leaders rebuild through biblical rest.

A life shaped by restoration

My journey through foster care, motherhood, nursing, disability, neurosurgery, ministry, divorce, burnout, and restoration taught me that our deepest wounds do not disqualify us. In God’s hands, they can become wells of wisdom.

I know what it means to keep serving while privately depleted. I also know the grace of being restored slowly, truthfully, and without pretending.

Experience that serves the whole person

My background brings together theology, healthcare, chaplaincy, coaching, education, writing, media, and public leadership.

  • Doctor of Ministry in Urban Ministry
  • Master of Theology in Homiletics
  • Master of Divinity and marketplace chaplaincy preparation
  • Former nursing professional across the lifespan
  • Certified Life Coach and relationship facilitator
  • Ph.D. student in Public Administration

Why Soul Revival exists

I created Soul Revival for the woman who has survived too much, carried too much, and is ready to rebuild without returning to hustle. Breakthrough begins with rest because clarity often comes after the soul finally feels safe enough to become still.
